Event - The Royal Visit to Leicester

8 March 2012

On Thursday 8th March The Queen, Prince Philip and The Duchess of Cambridge visited Leicester. This was the first royal visit to mark The Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

It was a beautiful sunny day and we all felt that we were very privileged to be there. We managed to get a really good spot next to Leicester Cathedral.

Below you can see some of our photographs showing The Bishop of Leicester, The Queen, Prince Philip, The Duchess of Cambridge and Mr Colville who, as the Deputy Lieutenant of Leicestershire, escorted The Duchess of Cambridge for the whole day.

It really was a fantastic day and one that we will all remember for a long time.
